Letter to Parents – 05/02/21

Dear Parents & Carers

I hope that you are all remaining safe and well. It certainly has been a tough start to the year and I would like to thank you all for the incredible support you have given to Oak Hill and my staff in supporting us with your child’s learning.

Just a reminder that the last day of this half term will be next week on Friday 12th February. Oak Hill will be completely shut during the half term week to all pupils and there will be no holiday camp.

The second half of the spring term will start on Monday 22nd February but as we will still be in lockdown, Oak Hill will only be open for key worker and vulnerable children on this day. The INSET day originally scheduled for this day has been cancelled.

Sadly, we will be saying farewell to two of our members of staff at half term.
Mr White, our amazing Teaching Assistant in Year 4 will be moving house and relocating. I would like to thank Mr White for his massive contribution to the Oak Hill family over the last 2 and a half years.

It is also with great sadness we will be saying goodbye to Mrs Mulhall our amazing Assistant Principal and SEND Coordinator. Mrs Mulhall has worked tirelessly at Oak Hill for the last seven years and we will be forever grateful to her for supporting all of our special educational needs children and their parents so brilliantly. Mrs Mulhall has been promoted to Deputy Head across two schools in Surrey and we wish her well in her new role.

I await further government guidance as to when Oak Hill may reopen more widely. I will of course keep you updated and will write to you again as soon as I know more.

My very best wishes to you all.

Mrs Saim
