Wellbeing Day 29th March 2019

Dear Parents/Carers,
Wellbeing Day 29th March 2019
To coincide with our PSHCE curriculum, as well as supporting current legislation from the government on Health and Wellbeing, Oak Hill Academy will be taking part in a whole school Wellbeing Day. The purpose of the day, is to allow children to discuss themes such as: ‘My Life’, ‘My Health’ and ‘My Mind’. Not only will your child/children take part in a day of activities organised by their teacher, they will also have the opportunity to take part in a mindfulness session, hosted by an experienced Yoga instructor. The session will help the children to learn new skills based around personal mindfulness, understanding the importance of breathing techniques, developing strategies to help overcome stress and ways to boost their physical and mental wellbeing. For your child to take part in this important opportunity, we are asking for a contribution towards the overall cost of £1 per child on School Gateway.
Thank you for your continued support,
Miss Penycate
