Year 6 Natural History Museum trip

November 04 | All day
YEAR 6 TRIP TO THE NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM Dear Parents / Carers, We are writing to inform you that we have planned an exciting trip to The Natural History Museum in Central London. This trip will link in with our Geography topic of Natural Disasters this term. Our visit will allow the children to explore this topic in depth through dramatic film footage, exhibits, interactive games and their famous earthquake simulator. They will also get the opportunity to explore the Evolution and Fossils section – linked to our Science topic! The trip will take place on Thursday 4th November 2021. Children will need to arrive at school at 8.30am as we will be leaving school by 8.45am. We aim to return to school by approximately 4:00pm – however if we are held up we will inform you as soon as possible via text. There will be no cost for this exciting day out, it is free as we will be travelling by train to the Natural History Museum; as we are getting the train, if children arrive to school late, they may risk having to stay at school. To confirm your child’s place on our trip, please consent to this trip on School Gateway by Friday 29th October. Your child will require a healthy packed lunch and a bottle of water, in a disposable bag. If your child is entitled to a Free School Meal, and would like a packed lunch to be provided, please indicate this by leaving a suitable message in the Notes section of ‘School Gateway’. The children will need to wear full school uniform on the day of the trip. We will need some parents to help out and come along on the day. If you would like to help, please indicate this by leaving a suitable message in the Notes section of ‘SchoolGateway’. We can, however, only take a specific number of adults; so if you are needed, we will contact you as soon as possible. Thank you for your support. We’re sure you can appreciate what a brilliant opportunity this will be for the children and their education. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to email me. gridgway@oakhill-aspirations.org
