Elliott 3C

Self-Worth

  • Elliott always shows a sense of accomplishment by being kind and helpful to me and other children in the class. He is such a ‘cheeky chap’ who makes me laugh most days with his cheeky smile and outgoing attitude. 

Engagement

  • Elliott is very engaged in lessons and has made great efforts to improve his reading at home by practising his sounds and learning high frequency words. I have been really proud of how he has persevered in maths lessons and he is a key 

Purpose

  • Elliott has become much better at having the confidence to take action and setting learning goals to reach within each lesson. I am really pleased with how much he has matured this term by becoming more independent in his learning.

Nidhi – 3C

 Self-Worth

  • Nidhi is one of the kindest students I have ever had the pleasure to meet! She is a constant hero to other children in 3C by helping them when they stuck and sharing creative ideas for other children to use in their writing.

Engagement

  • Nidhi is always engaged in lessons and puts in 110% into everything she does! I can always count on her to be focused with an admirable persistence towards any task she is given.

Purpose

  • Nidhi is consistently a leader in 3C by showing other children how to be active learners during lessons. She has confidence to take action by continually challenging herself. She has been a true democratic leader in her enterprise group and I am sure they will be victorious at the Enterprise Fayre. 

Abigail - 3D

Self Worth

  • Abigail has become an important member of the 3D family, with her confidence, friendliness and that huge beaming smile that she shows me every day. It truly makes my day seeing that smile. At this early stage of Year 3, I can see that she always tries to be the best, showing a great sense of accomplishment. You are definitely my hero!

Engagement

  • Abigail shows great behaviour for learning in all subjects, but especially in Maths where she fully engages in the talk task. Her enthusiasm is contagious ensuring she is a fantastic role model for others around her. She is willing to take risks to move her learning forward.

 Purpose

  • This young lady has the qualities to be an excellent leader, and I have had glimpses of this during Enterprise. Going forward Abigail needs to believe in her true potential herself! You have the determination to succeed and a positive attitude, you will go very far! I look forward to the rest of the year with you constantly challenging yourself.

Mason - 3D

Self Worth

  • Mason may be immensely shy and quiet; however he is one of the most modest members of 3D. He should feel a great sense of accomplishment because he tries his best to achieve in every subject in school. This young man is definitely a hero to others around him, for simply believing in himself and others around him. 3D is very fortunate to have such a lovely individual amongst them.

Engagement

  • Mason may be immensely shy and quiet; however he is one of the most modest members of 3D. He should feel a great sense of accomplishment because he tries his best to achieve in every subject in school. This young man is definitely a hero to others around him, for simply believing in himself and others around him. 3D is very fortunate to have such a lovely individual amongst them.

Natalia - 3R

Self-Worth

  • Natalia is a real hero in 3R, she is always willing to help anyone in the class due to her kind and caring manner. She is motivated to always do her best and produces an extremely high quality of work across all subjects and should have a huge sense of accomplishment in everything that she has achieved so far this year. She greats everyone with a smile creating a sense of belonging.   

Engagement

  • Natalia shows her curiosity through her questions in class during all subjects and through what she reads, it is evident that Natalia is curious about the world around her. She has shown her spirit of adventure throughout the term, she happily gives everything a go, without complaint, taking every challenge in her stride. 

Purpose

  • Natalia has shown her confidence countless times this term, she is happy to speak to adults as our greater, to the class and even represented 3R as our Enterprise Ambassador. Natalia has shown fantastic leadership throughout Enterprise, being Managing Director of her group, I’m sure her whole group will agree she has been a fantastic leader. Natalia exudes responsibility and is a fantastic role model for her peers.  

Reece - 3R

Self-Worth

  • Reece must be one of the most cheerful people in the world, he is always smiling creating a real sense of belonging for anyone lucky enough to be in his company. He is a kind, friendly member of 3R, a real hero. Reece should have a huge sense of accomplishment in his achievements so far this year, he works very hard and has made huge improvements.

Engagement

  • Reece is the definition of fun and excitement, he enjoys everything he does. He has a real spirit of adventure and tries everything with a smile even when it is a challenge. Reece shows his curiosity through our Maths Mastery in particular, he is always willing to share his ideas with the class and his partner.

Purpose

  • It has been fantastic to see Reece become more confident during this term. Reece works hard to achieve his targets and should be very proud. Reece has developed his leadership skills throughout Enterprise. Reece is a very responsible young man and is a great role model for his peers.  

Jagoda - 3S

Self-Worth

  • Jagoda is one of the most caring students I have ever met! She is a constant hero to other children in 3S by helping them when they stuck and sharing creative ideas for other children to use in their writing.

Engagement

  • Jagoda is always engaged in lessons and puts in 100% into everything she does! I can always count on her to be focused with an admirable persistence towards any task she is given.

Purpose

  • Jagoda has shown that she is responsible and a true leader in class by carrying out her role as Resources Executive in Enterprise with confidence. Well done Jagoda!

Ridwan - 3S

Self-Worth

  • Ridwan is a true hero to all members of the 3S family! He demonstrates this through carrying out his role of technology ambassador with confidence. Ridwan always shows a sense of accomplishment in his learning by leading a helping hand to other children in class. 

Engagement

  • Ridwan is always engaged in lessons. Even though he shines in every lesson, English is where he really shows off! We are always so impressed with his ideas he shares in class. 

Purpose

  • Ridwan always takes confidence in action in every lesson by independently challenging himself, by moving onto harder tasks. Well done Ridwan!  

Aimee - 4P

Self-Worth

  • Aimee really knows her worth and is rightly proud of the incredible progress that she has made this term. She is humble in success and also delighted for her friends when they are successful too, making her a hero for all. Her quiet sense of belonging and security in the 4P family is wonderful and means she feels safe to celebrate her achievements, which are hard earned and well deserved.

Engagement
  • Aimee is a true delight to have in class. She asks interesting questions, showing her keen sense of curiosity and creativity. Aimee loves learning and is an active member of all lessons, and the beaming smile permanently found on her face is testament to just how much fun she is having on a daily basis! 

Purpose
  • Aimee will be a great leader one day, I’m certain of it! She is mature and responsible and can be relied upon to take the lead in any situation. During Enterprise, she demonstrated real confidence in her role at Project Manager.

    Well done on an amazing term Aimee, keep it up! 

Marcel - 4P

Self-Worth

  • From the very start of this year, Marcel has offered a helping hand to everyone in 4P – including me! He always supports his classmates in their learning and behaviour choices. It is clear that he truly believes in them and their abilities. What a hero

Purpose
  • Marcel is a flourishing member of the OHA family, with his caring and thoughtful nature. During Enterprise, he showed himself to be a true leader, helping his team to be very successful. I was blown away by how well he worked with the other children in his team.

    Well done Marcel on a fantastic term! Keep up the good work! 

Engagement
  • This young man encompasses the condition ‘curiosity and creativity’. He always asks creative and intelligent questions, and contributes amazing ideas to class discussions. His enthusiasm for learning is infectious! I feel very lucky to have him in my class.

Dylan - 4R

Self-Worth

  • Although he is one of the quieter members of 4R (I’m sure he’ll agree there aren’t many of those!), when I think of someone who has been a hero in the face of all adversity this half term, Dylan’s name springs to mind straight away. I’m so proud of his determination and unfaltering confidence which is building and building! You really are a hero Dyl!

Engagement

  • There are very few times during the week that you’ll see Dylan without a smile on his face. He finds fun in everything we do, encouraging others and coaching them to improve whilst also improving himself! He shows true spirit when discussing a topic and is able to express his ideas.  

Purpose

  • Dylan’s behaviour for learning is second to none. It is this leadership and responsibility which mean he is not only one of the most hard-working children I’ve ever met, but also the kindest and most caring. He has tried so hard to ensure his work is exemplary this year and, although he’ll say there’s still work to be done, his books speak for his commitment to learning!

Owen - 4R

Self-Worth

  • I have seen a massive improvement in the work ethic of this wonderful and hard-working young man. He shows true heroism daily, being someone the rest of the 4R family can aspire to be. He has a real sense of accomplishment in his learning and tries hard to push himself to improve, showing me how capable he is in all aspects of his learning.

Engagement

  • The smile on Owen’s face is enough to brighten any gloomy winter morning. He demonstrates his fun and excitement with his merry and cheery outlook on life- he is great at cheering people up and making his friends happy. Owen is also very good at showing his adventurous side, particularly when working in a group.

Purpose

  • Owen is a true leader. He is incredibly calm and collected in tricky situations and is able to explain himself very clearly when he wants or needs to give his opinion. He also shows tremendous confidence when performing and commanding the attention of his group in Enterprise.

Aaliyah - 4TR

Self-Worth

  • What a joy this child is! She’s very much part of our class family and has helped both Mrs Thomson and Mrs Rice settle in to new year groups and classes. She is kind and thoughtful to everyone she meets and is one of my top coaches, helping other children reach their goals. She delights in her successes but also celebrates with her friends when they achieve well.

Engagement

  • Aaliyah has a voracious appetite for learning and is always asking questions (to the point that she worries she is being annoying – which could never be the case!) She is also keen to try new things and the Spirit of Adventure is alive in her in all she approaches. I love her attitude to school and her bravery – she’s like a heroine from an adventure story!

Purpose

  • This young lady is one to watch in the business world. She has taken control of a tricky Enterprise group and has stayed calm and positive when others have struggled to do the same. She is confident to take whatever action is needed to get the job done but treats everyone with respect and listens well. She is destined to lead!

Engshang - 4TR

Self-Worth

  • This half term has seen a huge increase in effort from Engshang. He is happy to help and coach his classmates, making him a real hero. The sense of accomplishment he feels in most lessons is evident but he is also humble in his success and celebrates the achievements of his friends too, showing how he really belongs in our 4TR family.

Engagement

  • Curiosity could be this boy’s middle name! He is always asking interesting questions to deepen his understanding, and receives new information with joy. Fun and excitement also form a big part of Engshang’s days as he has a great sense of humour and can often be found sharing a laugh and joke with his friends on the playground, or a quick giggle with Mrs Thomson in class.

Purpose

  • One of the best things about Engshang is his confidence. He isn’t afraid to take action, whether as leader of a group, helping adults around the school or tidying up, even though it’s not always his mess to tidy! He is a calm addition to his Enterprise team and leads the financial side with compassion and understanding.

Minna - 4U

Self-Worth

  • Minna is one of the kindest, most gentle children you will surely ever come across! She is such a lovely member of our 4U family, who always welcomes the new day with a beaming smile! She should have such a great sense of accomplishment already at this early stage in Year 4, as I can see she always tries to be the best she can be! What a hero you are!

Engagement

  • What a delight she is to teach, as she is always engaged in her learning, and is such a great role model for others around her for her great attitude and effort she shows towards her work. Even though at times she finds things tricky, she never gives up, which is a great quality to have! 

Purpose

  • It has been a joy to get to know Minna in Year 4, and I hope you have realised that with sheer resilience and determination, that you can do so many things! You now need to consistently find that self-belief inside you, so you have the confidence to take action wherever possible. I look forward to the rest of the year!

Sikandar - 4U

Self-Worth

  • Even though he can be incredibly shy and quiet, Sikandar is one of the most humble members of 4U. He should feel a great sense of accomplishment so far in his Year 4 journey because he tries his best to achieve in every subject! He is definitely a hero to others around him, for simply being himself.

Engagement

  • Sikandar is a great role model to his peers, as he always tried to set the right example in and out of class with great behaviour for learning. He has also started to really make an effort to show his engagement more in lessons by raising his hand and contributing during discussions more, which is lovely to see. 

Purpose

  • During our class assembly this year, Sikandar volunteered to have a speaking part, which for me demonstrated how far he has already come and how determined he is to improve all the time. The confidence you showed to speak clearly and loudly to such a large audience was amazing!

    What an exciting year ahead of you you have!

Fredericka - 5A

Self-Worth

  • Hard work and self-worth go hand in hand and Fredericka represents both brilliantly (with plenty more to spare!). You are brilliant at making others feel part of this class, and have an amazing ability to be there when one of our class members needs support. 

Engagement
  • Your attitude to your work is a joy to see Fredericka and I hope that it never stops! The task is unimportant when it comes to work ethic as she works her socks off even if the going gets tough! Fredericka is a very curious girl in class and is always asking the right questions!

Purpose
  • I would call Fredericka quietly confident. She doesn’t want to shout about all she can do but when it comes to using that knowledge to help, you can’t stop her! Well done on an amazing term Fredericka! Keep up the good work. 

Kaspars - 5A

Self-Worth

  • Kaspars is a hero in class and out of it. On the playground, Kaspars will always make sure someone has someone to play with, helping instil a sense of belonging in the school. In class, Kaspars is helpful to all and takes it upon himself to help all those around him.

Engagement

  • Kaspars always shows a spirit of adventure, regardless of the lesson or topic and approaches each task with an air of curiosity and creativity. He also plays a key role in creating a fun and exciting atmosphere in class lending itself to a stimulating class for learning. 

Purpose

  • Kaspars is a leader in 5A, whether he knows it or not. He is a leader by example. Smartly presented, always enthusiastic and diligent in his work- Kaspars is the whole package! 

Philip - 5D

Self Worth

  • How Philip conducts himself in class is always a pleasure to witness and he should feel very proud.  He is very proactive in helping instil a sense of accomplishment within other members of the 5D family and recognises how and when to help, guide and support his peers. He is a true hero in 5D. Well done!

Engagement

  • I love how involved Philip gets in his learning and it is very clear when Philip is enthusiastic about a task (he can often a beaming smile of pride on his face!)! Never afraid to ask ‘why’ or ‘why not’, Philip always stirs good discussion and is keen to delve into a topic as much as he can!

Purpose

  • Fair and headstrong are two qualities I think describe Philip well! He enjoys partaking in discussions and group activities more and more yet still ensures everyone gets a chance to share their opinions. These qualities have flourished during Enterprise! Well done. 

Sophie - 5D

Self-Worth

  • Sophie, what a role model! Sophie can be quite a quiet member of the 5D family, but…we are starting to see her confident side come out- especially in Drama Club! We love it. I hope she knows she and her positive, fun loving attitude, is a vital cog in the 5D machine!

Engagement

  • Full of probing questions, Sophie really takes on every day's adventure confidently and with a massive smile on her face- her attitude is infectious. She always ensures she gets the most out of her day (whilst helping others get the most out of theirs)!

Purpose

  • With her building confidence, Sophie is showing herself to be an amazing team player. Not only does she support and guide others during lessons but she has the confidence to take action and lead the table when it is appropriate! She has really thrived during Enterprise- well done.

Shekha - 5HB 

Self-Worth

  • Giggly Shekha, what a pleasure you are! My days are brightened when you enter the room. You have a beautifully positive smile and value yourself and others. You understand the importance of learning and approach all tasks with enthusiasm and a smile!

Engagement

  • Shekha shows fantastic engagement. She contributes to class discussion and shares her thoughts and opinions with class. Shekha is hardworking and concentrates whilst on task. She listens to instructions carefully and is always completes tasks to the best of her ability!

Purpose

  • Shekha is a great role model in 5HB. She supports her classmates learning, without even realising it. She perseveres when she tackles a problem and encourages others to do the same, displaying great leadership skills

Yusuf - 5HB

Self-Worth

  • Yusuf! What a change! You started the year extremely chatty, finding managing your frustration a real challenge, but seeing the new and improved you is a real joy. You deal with issues maturely, showing respect to all. The class giggle at your witty jokes and you make 5HB a lovely place to be.

Engagement

  • Every morning you come into class with a determined grin, you settle down and set off to work with no hesitation. You ask relevant questions and encourage your peers to push themselves further. Your hand is always the first I see and your answers are on point!

Purpose

  • Yusuf, you are such a leader! Your class look to you for support and you are always there to give it. Your team work is second to none, you listen to others and value their opinions. The growth in your maturity has helped you to become an extremely valuable asset to the 5HB family!

Mateusz - 5P

Self-Worth

  • Mateusz is a kind and enthusiastic member of the class. He comes to school every day with a positive attitude and is definitely a hero for the whole of year 5. Mateusz displays a sense of accomplishment on a daily basis, always putting his hand up and contributing to class discussions as well as putting in 100% effort into his work. Well done Mateusz!  

Engagement
  • Mateusz always displays fun and excitement! He is always willing to show off his talents to the rest of the class. He is very good at creating origami objects and this has been very useful for his Enterprise group! He has strived in his role as Marketing Officer. Mateusz shows curiosity and creativity by always asking questions to help deepen his understanding. Mateusz has proven recently what a great mathematician he is, he works hard throughout the lesson and he always keen to move himself on showing a great spirit of adventure! 

Purpose
  • During our Christmas carol performance, Mateusz had a critical role in the performance as he played the piano. I know that Mateusz was nervous beforehand, but he did so well and took on the responsibility well. He even practised during his lunch break to make sure he knew what he was doing! Mateusz I am so proud of you! Thank you for sharing your talents with us and having the confidence to take action! 

Millie - 5P

Self-Worth

  • Millie has shown a great sense of belonging in Year 5 and has had an amazing start on her Year 5 journey. Millie is a very kind member of the class and is a hero to her friends! She always comes into school with a smile on her face and a positive attitude. Well done Millie! 

Engagement
  • Fun and excitement is something Millie displays on a daily basis, 24 hours a day! Many of the other members of 5P refer to Millie as ‘Sassy Millie’ and she definitely lives up to her title.  Not only does she have an infectious personality she is also extremely hard working and this has been evident recently with her hot writes; she has listened really well during class inputs and she is producing effective pieces of writing.  Her hard work certainly paid off during assessment week, so well done Millie! 

Purpose
  • Millie has been a major part of her team during Enterprise; she has taken on the responsibility well. Millie takes on every task she is given with a 100% effort. I am so proud of you Millie, well done for a fantastic year so far! Keep up the hard work! 

Eden - 6B

Self-Worth

  • Whenever it’s a Friday and time to decide on 6B’s Star of the Week, Eden is usually the first student that springs to mind. Whether she’s in class or in the playground, her attitude and behaviour choices are utterly faultless, as she always strives to do the right thing at the right time, with a beaming smile on her face. She is a role model and hero to all!

Engagement
  • What amazes me about Eden is her amazing give-it-a-go attitude. Regardless of the challenge presented to her, Eden will tackle it to the best of her abilities, without ever giving up. This means that Eden allows herself to experience many fun and exciting opportunities, such as being the only girl in the Year 5/6 football team!

Purpose
  • Watching Eden work in her Enterprise group brings a smile to my face! When working with her team, she is fair, diplomatic and patient, making her the perfect Managing Director. Keep an eye out for Eden in the future...her leadership and responsibility skills are sure to make her incredibly successful in whatever she chooses to do!

Pransh - 6B

Self-Worth

  • Pransh is most definitely a people person, with fantastic communication skills. This has been evident throughout lessons, where he is more than willing to help others, thus ensuring his classmates feel a sense of accomplishment. What has been incredibly lovely to witness is his friendship with Amalia (who is new to the country). Since September, he really has taken time to ensure she feels as though she belongs at Oak Hill Academy, and I have genuinely been blown away by his kindness. 

Engagement

  • I am pretty sure there is not a lesson that goes by without seeing Pransh’s hand waving in the air, as a result of his curious nature. It is clear to see that Pransh spends time at home studying topics we learn about in school, thus showing how keen and eager he is when he finds a topic that excites him. 

Purpose
  • Pransh is an extremely confident member of the 6B family, who is happy to work with a range of pupils and present his ideas to large groups. I really do hope that this Principal’s Award inspires and motivates him to apply such confidence to his own writing, as I would love to see him make more daring vocabulary choices. I’m looking forward to seeing the results of Pransh’s academic confidence after the Christmas holidays! 

Aamna - 6BM

Self-Worth

  • I am told that it is the quiet ones that you have to watch and Aamna is no exception. She demonstrates a real sense of accomplishment in her learning and tries incredibly hard to push herself.  Aamna is an extremely kind hearted, helpful girl who should know that she is a valued member of our 6BM family.

Engagement

  • Being curious about the world around you is always a good attribute to have, particularly when related to learning.  Aamna shows she isn’t daunted about trying new things and demonstrates an inquisitive attitude to all her learning. She attacks it with enthusiasm and does so with a quiet determination!  

Purpose
  • Aamna impresses me every day and I am so grateful that I have had the opportunity to watch a young person grow in confidence and ability; particularly in maths.  She has regularly taken responsibility for her own learning and tries extremely hard to achieve the goals set out before her.  Well done Aamna and keep up the positive attitude.  

Daniel - 6BM

Self-Worth

  • Daniel is a shining example of someone who makes others feel like they belong. He is always willing to make people feel part of the group and encourages everyone to be involved- a fantastic quality he has displayed throughout our enterprise journey this year. Whilst encouraging others, Daniel also knows his own skills and talents and isn’t afraid to show them off when needed.  

Engagement

  • Daniel enjoys his learning and is happiest in the classroom when he can explore. He is confident to ask exciting questions and then take steps to investigate and find his answer, something I’ve noticed a lot in Science. He is excited to be a team player in P.E. and his team mates can always rely on him to have a go even when they are doubtful themselves. 

Purpose
  • Daniel has showcased some great leadership skills this term. He has managed to help his Enterprise group during some challenging discussions, taking on the role of the mediator and helping to make sure everyone has a say. It’s been a successful Autumn term for Daniel and I look forward to helping him achieve his goals through put the rest of the year. 

Alima - 6C

Self-Worth

  • Alima has improved so much this term! She has enjoyed some fantastic scores in her assessments- how lovely to get the results her hard work deserves!

    Alima’s confidence seems to be improving all the time; she knows we are all very proud of what she has done (and we hope she is feeling proud too!). 

Engagement

  • Alima has remained really engaged with her learning, even when class work becomes really challenging! This is the kind of commitment that brings around fantastic results- long may it continue!

     It’s the quiet ones you have to watch- and Alima is definitely worth watching! She rarely misses the key points of her learning, and this allows her to produce pleasing results! 

Purpose
  • Alima shows great focus and an eye for detail during learning time; she’s perceptive enough to pick up on what needs to be done and how it should look. Because of this, Alima’s work is always on task and in the desired outcome.

    I’m sure Alima will continue to show the kind of purpose that has carried her this far- I can’t wait to see what she’ll achieve next!

Lara - 6C

Self-Worth

  • Lara has done so much to be proud of this term! She has developed into a dedicated, hard-working young person intent on making the most of her education- she should be very proud of what she has achieved!

    Lara’s sense of pride in herself has progressed too; she has tasted success and wants more! With the commitment she has to her learning, more success isn’t far away!   

Engagement

  • Engagement is the key to successful learning- after all, how can you achieve things if you aren’t entirely sure what you are trying to achieve..? Well, Lara has found that careful listening and real focus on the key elements of her learning have been important factors in how well she’s done.

    Any time you drop by 6C, prepare to find Lara diligently working away- it’s the same story every day!

Purpose

  • Lara is so very organised (she puts me to shame!). Even her desk is orderly and ship-shape! Lara is conscientious and always sets herself up in a professional manner.

    Every member of Team 6 Lara has worked with this year speaks highly of her; we all believe that she can continue her good work and achieve more things to be proud of.

Rhianna - 6L

Self-Worth

  • Rhianna is a true hero in the 6L family, always happy to encourage her peers and help improve their work. She works hard across all subjects and presents her work absolutely beautifully – a role model for all. Rhianna should feel incredibly proud for all of the fantastic work she has achieved already in Year 6.  

Engagement
  • Rhianna gives everything her all; she worked tremendously hard and collaborated well with other children to help write and direct the 6L class assembly – I couldn’t have done it without her expertise and ideas! Her superb drawings and writing always bring a smile to my face with her original and interesting thoughts.

Purpose
  • Rhianna is bursting with confidence (and hugs) and loves to share her fantastic work with the class. Every day, I can rely on Rhianna to do important jobs allowing her to show off her already blossoming leadership qualities. I’m looking forward to seeing your learning progress even further throughout Year 6. Keep it up you superstar! 

Sadat - 6L

Self-Worth

  • Sadat is a sociable and friendly child who happily gets on and works well with his peers. Sadat has already made lots of progress this year – hopefully with lots more to happen too – and is already maturing both inside and outside of the classroom. He should feel incredibly proud of his achievements so far. 

Engagement

  • Sadat has also shown real engagement with his learning this term, in particular Maths. He shows a brilliant spirit of adventure by trying new challenges during lessons and never gives up, even when the going gets tough. Sadat isn’t afraid to use his peers to help with his learning which has helped him make lots of progress already in Year 6.

Purpose
  • Since joining Year 6 Sadat has constantly worked hard and tries his best within all lessons. It is fantastic seeing him being chosen for the Year 6 Football team which shows he has excellent skills but also brilliant behaviour and commitment too. He has gained a huge amount of confidence already and I can’t wait to watch him progress throughout Year 6. Keep it up Sadat!
