Yr6 Thorpe Park Trip

2nd July 2018

Dear Parents/Carers,
In order to celebrate the fantastic achievements of Year 6 this year we are excited to announce that we have organised an amazing end of year trip to Thorpe Park which will take place, for the whole year group, on Monday 2nd July 2018. The ticket price for this trip will be £14 and the coach, a further £11, as we have subsidised this with money from the Year 6 budget and fundraising, to help lower the cost. This fantastic trip will cost £25 in total. If your child has a valid Merlin or Thorpe Park annual pass, the cost will be £11 to cover the coach. Please send the annual pass in to school with the reply slip so that we can check it is in date for our records. Please note that Blue Peter badges are no longer valid for free entry.  We hope it will be a wonderful day out to celebrate all of the hard work and effort the children have put in this year!
In order to allow the children ample time to explore the park, we have decided that the trip will run a little later than the usual school day and we will return to school at approximately 4.30pm. Parents will be notified by text if we are held up in traffic.
We would please request that you pay using ‘SchoolGateway’. Please ensure all payments have been made by Friday 8th June. This will be the deadline for all payments; any children that have not paid in full by this date will not be allowed to come on the trip as they will not have a ticket provided. We would like all children to attend so we can celebrate the achievements together.
On the day of the trip, the children will need to come to school in their school PE kit, with the Oak Hill Academy logo on the shirt (if your child does not have one, they can borrow a top for the day). They must bring a packed lunch for the day in a disposable bag (no glass containers), with a drink (no fizzy!) that is leak proof. Your child is allowed to bring a maximum of £10 to spend at the gift shop or to buy photos on the day if they would like; please note that this is optional.
As always, we will require help on the day so if you are able to come along to help out please indicate this on the permission slip - this will be on a first come, first served basis; if you do not hear from us we will add you to the waiting list.
Thank you all for your continued support.
Mr Clifton, Miss Le Voir, Miss Bajwa, Mrs Berry and Mrs Mulhall
